Poems, Other Playing Around

The mountain standing tall.

Wind blowing the trees that separate the clouds.

The freezing rain, heavy, now weighing the branches down.

Wishing for light to cast it’s share a moment longer,

Nothing inside of me could compare, be stronger.

Day fades to night.

The sky is now black.

Hoping, begging, clinging for the light to please, please, please, come back.

Little pellets against the windows have my attention drawn,

It seems like more than a lifetime away, the sun of a new day.

How do I get through the night?

How do I carry on?
